We know that jamming out to a favorite song in the car or dancing with wild abandon at a concert can completely lift our spirits and boost our mood. Add intention to the mix and we have a solution for elevating daily healing and self-care practices.
When we listen to music, the vibrations that travel through our bodies promote better circulation and energy flow, removing blockages and creating space for revitalizing healing processes. The frequency of sound synchronizes with brainwaves and activates de-stressing responses for soothing the body, helping us take crucial steps toward greater wellness and harmony of body, mind, and spirit.
At Yoga on the Lake, we offer Vibrational Sound Healing Meditation Workshops in studio with Jenny, who is certified in Hatha, Kundalini, Restorative and Yin yoga. Jenny utilizes gongs tuned to Uranus for balancing emotions and hormones, and to Jupiter for opening and nourishing the heart center. Jenny also utilizes crystal and Tibetan bowls to raise the vibration in the room and heighten the experience, with each bowl aligned to different chakras in order to achieve optimal health. The optional use of bolsters, blankets, blocks, lavender-scented eye pillows and other yoga props helps increase relaxation and comfortability during our meditation.
